January 11, 2019 | Corporate Communications In support of Entergy’s commitment to invest the communities we serve, McDermott held a supplier information session for local vendors interested in opportunities related to the construction of the Montgomery County Power Station. McDermott is the project’s engineering, procurement and construction contractor. Vendors from across Southeast Texas had the opportunity to learn about the project, the suppliers needed and how to become a McDermott vendor. According to an economic impact study from TXP Inc., the project will generate $1 billion in economic activity across Texas, comprised of $410 million direct investment in the local area, as well as generating $307 million in worker earnings and 7,000 total supported jobs (direct, indirect, induced).
